Ways to Relax and De-stress

Experience Reiki, Biofeedback and HeartMath® techniques to help you relax and de-stress, enabling you to focus on your goals and improve your performance. You can deepen your Biofeedback experience by including a guided interaction with horses. Training in Tension and Trauma Release Exercises (TRE™) is also available to release the stress stored in your body.

Reiki Sessions
$75 for 60 min., $40 for 30 min.

You relax, fully clothed, on a couch or seated while the Reiki practitioner holds her hands on or above you. There is no pressure on the body. The energy flows wherever it is required and can normally be felt as a warm sensation or tingling in the body. Receiving Reiki is a very relaxing and soothing experience!
Reiki can be used to reduce the debilitating effects of stress and anxiety. It can also relieve the pain from many ailments such as headaches, stomach upsets, back problems, asthma – respiratory problems, menstrual problems, sinus, and many more. (Please observe that Reiki should never be used instead of medical treatment; it should be used as a complement and a way to become and remain healthy).

Biofeedback Sessions
$100 for 60 min.

A package of 4-6 sessions is recommended in most cases.
Biofeedback sessions can be easily modified for children and teens.

Biofeedback is a mind-body therapy that uses electronic equipment to help a person gain awareness and control over their autonomic nervous system (the system that controls heart rate, respiration, sweating and levels of excitement and relaxation).

During your evaluation, Ann Baldwin, PhD will monitor your heart rate, heart rate variability and respiration to evaluate your levels of mental and emotional stress. She will then design a personalized plan of techniques developed by the Institute of HeartMath for you to practice daily that will bring you to a better physiological and psychological balance. Dr. Baldwin is a certified HeartMath Trainer and Coach.

To help with your practice you will use HeartMath’s patented emWave technology as well as “Relaxing Rhythms”, a biofeedback system devised by “Wild Divine”.

HeartMath Stress Relief Program

Finally, stress reduction that works!

EmWave® Technology

To help you sustain and track your improvement during and after training, our HeartMath programs include HeartMath’s patented emWave technology. Based on many years of research, both the emWave 2 and Inner Balance are unique training products that objectively monitor your heart rhythms and enable you to readily see changes in your heart-rhythm patterns as you practice HeartMath’s emotional self regulation techniques.
You will learn how to quickly create and sustain heart rhythm coherence, a highly efficient and rejuvenating state where your nervous system, heart, mind and emotions all work in harmony. A growing body of research is showing that coherence can improve memory, increase mental clarity, reduce feelings of anxiety and anger and relieve a wide range of stress symptoms.

Both emWave devices are available from Dr. Baldwin and can be purchased with or without a biofeedback coaching package. A one-hour emWave instruction session is recommended should you choose not to buy a biofeedback coaching package.

Guided interaction with horses
$100 for 60 min., $50 for 30 min.

Many clients, especially children and teenagers, really benefit if one or two sessions of equine facilitated learning are included in their biofeedback training. Dr. Ann Baldwin helps clients manage their feelings and emotions through un-mounted interactions with horses using a combination of breath-work, positive imagery, biofeedback technology and observation of the horse’s responses. Dr. Baldwin volunteered for Therapeutic Riding of Tucson for 10 years, is a horse owner and is trained in all issues concerning safety.

Stopping Emotional Eating
$450 for 4.5 hr.

6 x 45 min coaching sessions, includes Workbook and 7 one-hour DVDs

As part of the HeartMath Stopping Emotional Eating program, Dr. Baldwin, a certified HeartMath trainer, will take you through the program, customize it to meet your goals and provide the additional encouragement and support you need as you learn to:

TRE Sessions

What is TRE?
TRE stands for Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises. They help individuals release stress or tension as a result of difficult life circumstances, stressful situations, or traumatic life experiences. TRE consists of 6 simple exercises that help release tension from the muscles, which in turn relaxes anxiety of our minds by evoking a muscular shaking process in the body. Dr. Baldwin is a Level 1 Certified TRE Facilitator and provides you with a personal experience which includes: one-on-one instruction in how to perform the exercises safely; learning self-regulating and grounding techniques during the release; answering questions or concerns that may arise during the process.
